These images were produced for an assignment about Labor Day, highlighting an unsung hero who serves his community despite a lack of recognition.

Jonathan (23) works in the gardening department at Home Depot in Gainesville, Georgia to support his family and create a stronger network in the north Georgia area. Born with fetal alcohol syndrome, Jonathan was taught from an early age that he would have to work much harder than his peers in order to achieve the same results. Rather than allowing his life circumstances to discourage him, Jonathan rose to the occasion and has worked a full-time job since his high school years. With family scattered around Georgia and parts of Mexico, he hopes that his earnings will be helpful in the effort to reunite his family once again.
